Science Fair Judging
All projects will be judged.
Oral Presentation
Awards are given to first, second and third place winners at each grade level. Entrants provide an oral presentation to a panel of judges and answer questions about their project.
Judging Criteria
Oral presentation: did the participant demonstrate knowledge of the project by responding to the judge’s questions?

Scientific Thought: Have the principles of good scientific investigation been followed? Did the hypothesis seem logical based on the background material? Is the conclusion sound and based on the results presented?

Technical Skill: Is the exhibit presented neatly and with care? Is it well constructed?

Thoroughness: Is the topic well covered with supporting charts, graphs, pictures and/or articles?

Creative Ability: Is the approach to the topic original, refreshing, and well-conceived?

Clarity: Is the exhibit presented in a manner which makes it easy to understand the information offered?
​
Visual Presentation: Is the overall arrangement of the exhibit organized to stimulate the viewer’s senses?
